SWP BY THE NUMBERS
Speak With Purpose stands alone as the only youth public speaking program seamlessly woven into the fabric of the school day across King County public schools. Our mission is to fuse arts education with student voice, cultivating independent learners who shape their own identities. Currently, we are proud to share these stats:
We serve
63% youth
of color.
Aligned with our mission of serving those farthest from equitable opportunities, over half of our scholars identify as BIPOC.
We serve
7 schools in Washington, all Title 1.
Our focus on Title One schools ensures that scholars, once silent in the back of the classroom, are acknowledged, heard, and inspired to become leaders at the front.
We offer certified curriculum
to over 700
students.
We offer three programs: (1) SWP in-school public speaking curriculum, (2) Speakers Bureau and, (3) Rising Voices Centerstage.
